The Oak Shelter was one of the original shelters in the park and dated from 1928. It sits on the outside of the circle drive across from the Ballroom. The Oak was renovated during the fall and winter of 2008-09. The project was made possible by a Grant from the Solid Waste Disposal District as well as the Bascom Lions and the Friends of Meadowbrook. The Oak can now seat 125 people comfortably. In addition to the Shelter itself, there are two decks and an elevated walk that make up the entire venue. Parking for the Oak Shelter is located on the main parking lot west of the Lion.
